Hydraulic Fracturing and Natural Gas Drilling Oversight

Regulators and the industry teamed up to advise states on drilling techniques and the impact of their safety on local communities. The program called the STRONGER--State Review of Oil and Natural Gas Environmental Regulations--is funded by government and industry alike, and has already been put to use to advise authorities in Colorado, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Louisiana and Oklahoma.
